More about Serene

Hi, I’m Serene Shamsi, a designer and marketer working at the intersection of strategy, visual storytelling, and digital culture.

I approach design as both a creative and strategic practice. My work is rooted in the idea that strong visuals should not only capture attention but also communicate clearly and serve a purpose. I’m particularly interested in how design, branding, and content shape the way people engage, interpret, and interact with ideas.

My background is inherently international, having grown up across multiple cities, including Cairo, Beiurt and Boston. This has shaped a global perspective that informs both my creative direction and my understanding of audiences. Working across languages and cultures has strengthened my ability to design with intention, adaptability, and awareness.

My portfolio brings together work across graphic design, content creation, and marketing, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to building cohesive and impactful experiences. I’m drawn to clean, intentional design systems, while also exploring bold and expressive elements that add depth and distinction.

Beyond design, I’m equally invested in the strategic side of creative work, understanding performance, audience behavior, and the role of design within larger brand and marketing ecosystems.

Outside of my work, I’m interested in art, fashion, and visual culture, with a focus on creative direction, curation, and events. I also follow digital content across sport and lifestyle spaces, drawing inspiration from travel, music, interior design, and food.

I’m currently based in Boston and open to opportunities where I can continue to grow, contribute, and create meaningful work.
